Infino is a search and analytics engine that runs directly on object storage (S3, GCS, Azure Blob) and Apache Parquet files, combining full-text (BM25), vector/semantic, hybrid, and graph search into one system. It embeds functions like hybrid_search() and graph_walk() into SQL so a single query can perform counting, filtering, joining, and multi-mode retrieval simultaneously.
It is most valuable when building AI agents or applications that need multi-modal retrieval (exact keywords, semantic meaning, and linked relationships) without stitching together separate search, vector, and graph databases. It is also ideal when cost matters at scale, as it claims roughly 10x lower costs than Elasticsearch or OpenSearch for large workloads.
